XY Pad
A touch pad that turns your mouse position into two control signals.
Learn about it in Modulation: making sounds move
How it works
Drag inside the pad. X goes 0 → 1 left to right, Y goes 0 → 1 bottom to top. GATE is high while you are pressing. The last position is held when you let go.
Outputs
| X | Horizontal position, 0–1. |
|---|---|
| Y | Vertical position, 0–1. |
| GATE | High while touching — trigger an ADSR to play notes by tapping. |
Knobs and switches
| Slew | Smooths movement so values glide rather than jump. |
|---|
Patches to try
- X → Filter CV and Y → Vowel SHIFT, then perform a sweep by hand.
