Scope
Oscilloscope — shows what signals look like.
Learn about it in Oscillators: where every sound starts
How it works
TIME mode draws signals A (blue) and B (pink) over time, triggered on A so periodic waves hold still. X/Y mode plots A horizontally against B vertically, with long phosphor trails: two related oscillators draw Lissajous figures; the Lorenz X and Z outputs draw the butterfly. The scope makes no sound.
