Arpeggiator
An arpeggiator — plays a chord’s notes one after another, on every clock tick.
Learn about it in Melody & chance: chords, arps and generative patches
How it works
Each rising CLK picks the next note of the chosen chord, across the set number of octaves, in UP, DOWN, UP/DN or random order. The root comes from V/OCT (sampled each step), so you can change key with a keyboard or sequencer while it runs.
Inputs
| CLK | Steps the arpeggio. |
|---|---|
| V/OCT | The chord’s root pitch. |
| RST | Back to the first note. |
Outputs
| V/OCT | Pitch, to a VCO. |
|---|---|
| GATE | High while the clock is, to an ADSR. |
Knobs and switches
| Chord | Chord type. |
|---|---|
| UP / DOWN / UP/DN / RND | Note order. |
| Octaves | How many octaves to span. |
