Sequencing
Logic
Boolean logic for gates — combine rhythms into new ones.
Learn about it in Rhythm: clocks, gates & sequencers
How it works
Inputs count as “on” above ~0.3. AND is on when both are; OR when either is; XOR when exactly one is; NOT A is the opposite of A. A>B compares the raw voltages, so it also turns smooth signals (LFOs, chaos) into gates.
Inputs
| A | Input A. |
|---|---|
| B | Input B. |
Outputs
| AND | Both on. |
|---|---|
| OR | Either on. |
| XOR | Only one on. |
| NOT A | A inverted. |
| A>B | A’s voltage above B’s. |
Patches to try
- Two Euclid patterns into AND and XOR for new rhythms.
- LFO into A, nothing into B: A>B is a square-wave clock.
