Sequencing
Euclid
Euclidean rhythm generator — spreads a number of hits as evenly as possible around a loop.
Learn about it in Rhythm: clocks, gates & sequencers
How it works
Steps sets the loop length, Hits sets how many of those steps fire, and Rotate shifts the pattern. 3 hits in 8 steps is the Cuban tresillo; 5 in 8 the cinquillo; 7 in 16 a samba-ish feel. The ring shows the pattern and the current step.
Inputs
| CLK | One step per rising edge. |
|---|---|
| RST | Back to the first step. |
Outputs
| HIT | High on hit steps (while the clock is high). |
|---|---|
| REST | High on the rest steps — the opposite pattern. |
Knobs and switches
| Steps | Loop length. |
|---|---|
| Hits | Number of hits. |
| Rot | Shifts where the pattern starts. |
