Sequencing
Clock Divider
Derives slower, faster and random clocks from one clock.
Learn about it in Rhythm: clocks, gates & sequencers
How it works
÷2, ÷3, ÷4 and ÷8 fire every 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 8th tick. ×2 fires twice per tick (it measures the incoming tempo). On every tick a coin is tossed: the pulse goes out of A or B. Coin sets A’s chance.
Inputs
| CLK | The clock. |
|---|---|
| RST | Restart the count. |
Outputs
| ÷2 | Half speed. |
|---|---|
| ÷3 | Third speed (great for polyrhythms). |
| ÷4 | Quarter speed. |
| ÷8 | Eighth speed. |
| ×2 | Double speed. |
| A | Coin landed A. |
| B | Coin landed B. |
Knobs and switches
| Coin | Chance that each tick goes to A. |
